Reworked travel brochures display modern tourism meeting the fantastic and daunting, picturing the issue of globalisation and its occupation of landscape and identity.
Transformed images taken from glossy magazines invite to encounter the weird and wonderful.
The works are a humorous exploration, traversing the boundaries of reality and surrealism.
Images taken from advertising, glossy magazines, travel brochures and out of print (antiquarian books) are renewed and processed through the use of collage, paint and added text.
This show of works is questioning a world that is shaped by its markets and marketing, imploring its diversity, resources and ethics and hinting at its fragile nature.
